As a start to this new season of Sprudio newsletters, let’s take a look at the phenomenon of subliminal stimuli. Many things that act subliminally upon our subconscious are quite accidental. For example, a phrase you hear on the radio or by chance in a nearby conversation strikes you as coincidence, because it fits perfectly with a dream you had recently (and would have forgotten). Numerous daily audio and visual inputs can act upon the subconscious in such a way as to give you the illusion of a psychic event – or at least get your attention.
Next we have the intentional type of subliminal message that an advertiser, merchant or politician might make use of in a subtle way to influence your thinking (without your conscious knowledge). Largely deniable, these messages can be presented as a sound, image(s), or even an arrangement style. Consumers (and voters) should be aware that, in many cases, they have been studied extensively so someone can take advantage of their behavior and/or predictability.
Another type of subliminal message is the personal, deliberately planned audio track that is used to accomplish a positive behavioral change. It is designed to promote positive thinking and speak to the subconscious mind in its own language. An effective subliminal audio product cannot be created by someone who merely has the desire to do so. There is a science; actually several technologies working together, in a quality product, to help people overcome fears or phobias, undesirable habits and negative thought patterns.
Although we are trained to detect the first two types of subliminal content described above, including hidden audio, we’re chiefly concerned with the third type- which is our specialty. We produce audio CDs and .mp3 downloadable tracks that are designed to help get the user into a suggestible state of mind, and then deliver the desired verbal message to the subconscious. Technically it is self-help, but in reality we team with each user to help him or her overcome whichever addiction, fear, behavior or thinking process that they hope to affect.
It is easy to get stuck in our ways even as our respective environments change, so it becomes necessary to change ourselves (which can be painful) for success. If this means getting over a relationship or letting go of a certain guilt from the past, a need to focus or whatever the particulars, subliminal audio is worth considering. And it has been rewarding for us to help the hundreds – no thousands, of people now – who have shared their stories with us after using our standard and custom subliminal tracks! They always say that our customer service is the best (which we knew); plus, a great number of them return to us.
Perhaps someday we can share some interesting success stories, once I figure out how to do it discreetly enough. Have a great year, think positively, and focus! Don’t be afraid!
